I'd have a Veyron Super Sport but driving around everywhere in 2nd gear would be irritating. I'd rather just have the race track and a limitless supply of tyres

As potentially 'irresponsible' as this may sound - I have always gone to great pains (esp. to my wife ) to explain there is a vast difference between what you are 'allowed' to do and what you 'can' do.

Not that I am at all advocating flouting our fair and responsible road rules in any way.
