i don't know how you guys can stand it! new to the forum and just ordered my gti last week. don't even know approximate date of delivery but the dealer said there might be one in the country with the specs i wanted so fingers crossed!

My wife ended up yelling at me everytime we went driving because I'd start talking about it everytime I saw a golf (and we live in Surry Hills)

I was impatient from day 1 all the way to delivery.... 4 months

At least i have it now

It was worth the wait

For me, I found I went through different stages, at first I was super excited, then after a couple of months I got over it a bit and lost the spark a little. But once the delivery was within a couple of weeks I was pretty excited again.

I pretty much lived on forums for 4 and a half months reading as much info as I could about the car.

It sure gets tough though doesnt it. Its like my exctement might just fizzle out after that long. i went to get an R, with the idea I might have to spend more but get my car sooner.. its longer!!
