I think you should start a thread called "I am too lazy to read the manual" for some of these guys !

Have YOU read the manual? I picked up my Car on Friday (woo hoo) and spent the weekend, not driving, but reading. This is the worst drivers manual that I have ever read. And I've had a few. It's even worse than some software manuals!

I've read the MKV manual. It made sense and was easy to follow to me ?!

+1. I've read both MkV (Golf) and MkVI (GTI) manuals, cover to cover, no dramas.

Having said that, part of my job involves writing software and documentation for same, so...

Read the Mk6 manual too. Tried reading it on the train, but it can get a bit confusing at times, given that your car may not have all the features they talk about...
Found it best to read the manual whilst sitting in the car, at least you're then able to touch and see everything...

+100 - this is by far the best way to do it. Reading is one thing, but unless you put into practise a few times, most people will quickly forget. This also allows you to figure out immediately whether your car has a particular feature that you're reading about

Sorry, but I don't understand sometimes why a question like this is such a problem. I don't have a manual to read yet but enjoy reading these forums. If noone asked questions many of us wouldn't learn stuff about our forthcoming cars... Many of you guys have lots of valuable info and often there are offshoots from topics like this that provide us newbs with valuable info... Not an attack on you BBP or anyone else - just a point of view..

For those with cars on the Asian Dynasty, it has left Fremantle this arvo bound for Melb due here 31st May. The dealer has advised they only need the car for about 3 days, but customs can take up to 3 weeks to release....lets hope they do it quicker. Anybody have any first hand experience with customs in Melb?

These puppies are going on Friday..........

Then the APR tune.......I'm a bit exited. Did i mention i've been waiting six months?

I didn't realise you could get the Lenso Type M to fit the VW. that will look fantastic. I had the 18x8 Copper colour on my MY08WRX. Great rim and a lot lighter!
