Yeah that is awesome, I checked the shipping website. It looks like the TOSCANA. which will arrive in Melbourne on the 15th June. By the way Flappa when was yours built and does the last digits of your vin start with 39?

imo black looks better on the MKV. I dont think black looks as good on the mkvi.

So of course my dealer got on the case and started trading other cars with other separate dealers in an attempt to get two GTi's to give to Vic to get the one GTi in CW that i wanted. Anyway this went on for a few weeks. It didn't really bother me to much as i knew my dealer was busting balls to get me my car. Anyway some time went by and my dealer eventually got back to me with bad news which was after all that crap the dealer in Vic had sold it! F###########CK! How rude... they agreed on two swaps and went back on both! You can imagine how pissed off i was. So after a week went by i got over my disappointment and by this time i was like screw it... I'm just gonna fork out an extra $1500 and get the exact car but in a five door which my dealer had on order and was going to be available around the same time anyway. Great!... So i did. I agreed on the five door, got used to the idea, budgeted for the extra cash and i was happy and waiting...... finished..... not quite.... So after all this a few more weeks went by but you wouldn't believe what happened this afternoon. My dealer calls me up and says they've found me a 3 door in CW with the exact same specs as the original however this one has a sunroof. Now i wanted a sunroof at the start but i couldn't justify it for an extra $1900. Now my dealer knew this but after all the pissing around thats happened my dealer said they'd do it for an extra $900 to wrap up this saga of a deal haha. I thought this was a fair deal and considering everything i've been through AND it being the exact car i originally wanted BUT with a sunroof i locked in the deal quick smart. Now all that is great news but here is the best bit. Originally i was expecting the car in June however the car they've found is currently in Sydney right now and it should be on a truck for Brisbane tomorrow if not Friday! Woooooooohooooooooooooooo!

So going on whats happened today i think it warrants a post in the official 'waiting for my GTi thread'!

I'm so damn excited. I can't wait to take it out for a burn with my girlfriend and even better with the sunroof down! Haha. This is my first brand new car and it's so exciting to be buying such a great car.
