Yes I understand all of that, it would have better if they were upfront with me and just said 6 months and not drop it down to 4 and communicated with their customers properly.

Fair enough. Anyway - just give them some slack. Today was crazy for me as well. I'm not even in customer service (well, not public facing anyway) and things were crazy for me due to this being a 4 day weekend. I'm not sure whether the dealers are opening or not over the weekend, but there will be limited enquiries and work that they could do on Friday and Monday regardless, so they could be in a case like I am, trying to cram 3 days of work into 1!

Yeah I will, the car has been handed over to production, whatever that means so I will call them back in 2 weeks or so. Yeah I know exactly how you feel mate. I was presenting a paper on Cape Town last Friday, flew out Saturday lunchtime and didn't get back to Melbourne till Sunday night 8pm. Was expected to give a lecture Monday 9am keeping in mind I lost 9 hours as Melbourne is 9 hours ahead of Cape Town :S

take it easy mate over the next few days enjoy your break and go out and order that Golf R ASAP!

Cheers! But for me, my presentation is on Tuesday, so this weekend will be producing the presentation

Oh well, I just have to keep thinking "I'm doing this for my R, I'm doing this for my R"

Well i picked up my brand new mk vi today.

Ordered it last Friday. I didn't care for too many options. All i wanted was DSG (so the wife could also drive it), leather and 18" wheels.
As for colour, i would have been happy with silver, white or red.
Just so happed they had one in red and today i got the call to say its been delivered to the dealer and would be ready for my collection.
Will take some photos tomorrow if i get a chance whilst its still clean

I was not prepared to wait 4-6 months for a car so was happy
