i heard a rumour that 2009 build engines had 20 more kilowatts than 2010.
no wait, i think I started the rumour...
build plate and valuations go by the date the car was married together, ie the plate in the boot.. not the date each component was manufactured.
No I haven't checked...... but does that make it a 2009 or 2010 build? Do they go by the date in the boot... because I'm thinking along the same lines as Entice.
The car build date is ithe date that the car that is actually built - the engines are slotted in once the car (which may have been built in 2010) is on the production line.
Woo hoo... picked up my car yesterday and it awesome!!!
I know for a fact that a number of years ago when I bought my WRX they actually ran the engine in for the equivalent of 100 hours and this alleviates the issue of having a service to replace the oil after 500 klm and beds the motor in. Not sure whether Golfs do the same as I could not find out when I bought my Mk5 GTI - but it would make sense with any performance engine for the manufacturer to do this. Did not have an issue with either the WRX or GTI motor from go to when I sold them - both awesome in their own right.
I hope I have the same run with the Mk6.
Sup guys, I just placed an order for a 90TSI !!! My first new car ever! Picking up next week :banana::banana:.
