To answer your question, I HIGHLY recommend going after market with the paint protection and tint. You will save money and get better quality in both the product and labour.

+1, the VW Paint protection is a bit of a rip off :)
You might also search for some of the options/accessories that you didn't tick on eBay, as you'll find a lot of them a lot cheaper (i.e. RNS510, 9W7 Bluetooth, MDI, sports steering wheel, etc)

Not sure about options either. When I bought mine the only option was comfort pack or not, manual or DSG. I don't even think the sound system was an option....might be wrong.
FINALLY received my R today after waiting patiently for 8 months! 'Wow' says it all.
Can't wait for it to get Opti-coated this Sunday by Mark at freedomcarcare and have the layers of contaminant and dealer applied crap off the paintwork. Disappointingly the right reverse light doesn't work - didn't check it in all the excitement at the dealership....
It only has one reverse light my friend... don't embarrass yourself by taking it back

Pretty much, I think the American version is different and it's not too difficult to change it with an oversees part and some wiring (consult the ADRs first).
