Hey, bro. I changed my order to make it come earlier. i have to give up some option and color to get it faster, dealer told me the new one already made, and ready to ship, it will be land not later than end of Jan or possible around X'mas. and they will email me the VIN number first thing next Mon. so I believe we are in the same shippment now. Let's check it up when you get the VIN number later.

I have just traded in my 07 polo gti for a MK6 golf gti and picked it up 2 days ago.
Specs - MY12, Candy white, DSG, detroits, 4 door
I'm already having buyers remorse and thinking should I have got another color as I've never had white and my polo was black and should I have got a 3 door. At the moment I'm feeling like a 4 door is more like a family car not a hot hatch! Oh well they were my choices.
Just drawing a few comparisons between my polo here's what I really like in thenew car and what I preferred in the polo.
- I love the comfort of how it rides, nice and sturdy
- The interior is so spacious and top quality with good storage departments
- The touchscreen is fantastic and I love how it integrates with my iPhone
- I prefer the color of the dials in my polo as it was the nice blue and red
- I prefer the tartan pattern of the seats in my polo then the golf and the seats seem more narrow up top in the golf and not as comfortable and a pain to get out of when hopping out of the car
- I'm really disappointed that the golf doesnt have scuff plates and the seat belts don't have red highlights like the rest of the interior. My polo had both of these features
- the performance, it's really hard to say at this point as I have been babying the car and just driving it in D mode as it only has 140kms on the clock. My Polo had an APR tune and initial thoughts tell me I prefer the power and the delivery in the polo however time will tell.

Current - MY12 MK6 GTI, CW, Detriots, dark tint, APR Stage 1, blacked out grille, LED tails, Euro plates, suspension "tweaked", VCDS tweaks
"The Ex" Black MY08 POLO GTI - APR,Coilovers,5% tint, stubby antenna, rear sway bar
Well cant talk to your buyers remorse, if the only thing that bugs you is 2 doors and colour and thst was the trade off agianst a 6-9 month wait I would park it.
Corey will possibly empathise, he had a Polo GTI with all the mods and found moving back to the Gold cost some coin to get it to opersate it the way he wanted. Enjoy it and dont look back

Congrats on the new Golf GTI Koz.
I can understand the feeling when going from the 3 door to 5 door. I've both downstairs and going to the 5 door feels strange (not many people here understand though...).
As for the performance, the power delivery of the EA888 in the Golf is so smooth that it doesn't feel that zippy. But additionally, your Polo was about 175kg lighter and has the same power and more torque than the Golf. Combine that with the non-linear power delivery of the Polo vs the Golf, and you'll more than likely be heading to one of the tuners for at least an ECU update as soon as you feel the the engine is broken in. Maybe even a good intake, downpipe and tune
Hey Corey,
It's great to see someone understands. The torque the polo had and the way it pulled was awesome!
I'm definately going to get a tune as soon as the golf is run in and I have the money!
