Thanks Corey, will tackle the paddles over the xmas break. Didn't have anything else on order so will hold off on the mirrors for now. Plates/holders are at the bottom of the gift wish list. Would have got them for xmas but F1 tickets took priority

But if it's an additional item on a shipment you're already doing, I figure you may as well.
I considered getting the Euro convex mirrors for my car but after setting them up properly (and with the RH-mirror already having the convex edge) it works as well as i need it to.

They showed us at the Driver Training Day how to set up our mirrors and it was a big help as i had mine set all wrong previously.

Yeah, many people set them up so that when they're sitting in their "normal driving position", they can just see the side of the car in the inside edge of the mirrors. The problem with this (as you may have learnt at the Driver Training Day) is that your side mirrors are then duplicating some of the coverage that the internal rear vision mirror performs.

The correct method is to lean (sideways only) toward the centre of the car and do that for the left mirror, and lean towards the drivers window and do that for the right mirror, so that when you go back to your "normal driving position" you can't see the side of the car at all. This then combines with your interior rear vision mirror to give you complete coverage of the rear and side of your cars, without any overlap, yet without any blind spots!

The convex edge mirrors just mean you can be lazier with looking left/right to check what is immediately beside your car, lol

I now drive with the correct mirror positions which are as you have stated.
I have set mine up from my regular seating position whilst driving.
I made sure the rear vision mirror was centred and then moved the left mirror so that the inner side reflects what is seen in the very left of the rear vision mirror.
The same is done for the right hand side and it has eliminated any blind spots i had previously.

    Makes a HUGE difference.

lol - yeah, it's one of those many things that we don't get taught during our "driving education" in Australia. It feels weird to start with. To me it was a bit disorientating because you don't have the side of the car in your mirrors as a "reference point". But I quickly became used to it and it removes the need to "look over your shoulder". You can just look 90 degrees left or right (and depending on the position of your seat/head in relation to the B Pillar and whether your mirrors are convex or not, sometimes much less than 90 degress left or right!).

Does VentureShield enhances the colour of the RB? Your car looks freaggin awesome - very close to the MKV R32 DBP! Or is is the camera....?

I think that Rising Blue Metallic is a very dynamic colour. Depending on the angle, lighting, and surroundings, it can look like a deep blue, or a silvery blue, and even a purpley blue. Whilst Rising Blue is a great colour to have the Ventureshield installed on, I wouldn't say that the Ventureshield is enhancing the colour at all.

My friend who took the photos is a wizard with the camera and does professional photography, particularly of an automotive theme, as a 2nd job. So I think part of what you're seeing is a good camera, great lens, and properly exposed photos/processed photos etc. Camera phones and even my $500 Canon "Point and Shoot" camera just don't capture Rising Blue realistically. These photos look about as "real life" as I've seen.

Agree with everything said there. I changed to white based on that initially as it seems to be a real prick to photograph well and it was really hard to gauge without seeing enough of them in person.
