Magnificent shots shakespeare, congratulations. Looks amazing.
Even after 5-6 months of ownership, I still cant wait to get in mine each day.

It is the 2.0 TSI with an APR stage 1 update and 6 sp DSG. I've put larger front and rear roll bars, and other cosmetic bits like the LED tail lights, and rear view camera, etc. I've got the RNS-510 radio and the 9W7 bluetooth module too. The wheels are Audi S4 replicas.

This has turned out to be one of the best touring cars I have ever had. It is very rare here in the US as we don't seem to like 5 door hatchbacks at all.

Sounds like a great ride.. hatchbacks are quite popular here but then again we dont have much thought for Pickups..great to have you pn the forum

A tint installer told me that those "darkest legal tints" (including the ones they install) are actually all about 28%, and hence technically illegal. Look great though.

Fantastic pics Shakespeare, the RB looks great in the sunshine.

Has the front windows been tinted or are you having that done later? They look darker than normal but not as dark as the rears, then again it may just be the bush beside the car that makes them look darker.

Thanks Prodigy, the fronts haven't been tinted yet, I was going to get Wangara to do it, but wanted to collect it on Friday so will get it done next week to try and match the rears and UV coat the rears at the same time.

These two posts belong together. Prodigy's observation that the front windows (which are not tinted) already look slightly tinted, is why some companies "35% VLT" tint actually ends up being 28%. It's because those companies do not take into account the fact that glass often already has a mild tint from the factory. In the Golf's case it's a very light shade of green tint.

Caught up with a work mate of mine who happens to have the same car as I do except in black and DSG. Went for an awesome drive up into the hills - about 200km.
