The wheels are hot mate. Look much better than the Detroit's.

My impression is - pure class. They're a great balance of conservative OEM style and sport - and look much better on your car than the other shots of the Vancouver I've seen. Vastly better than the overdone cliché that is the Detroits, IMHO.

The LEDs finish the car off nicely - really improve the overall look, especially in silver! Lakin bracket looks the goods too - your car and mine have a few things in common, eh?

    Congratulations mate - enjoy!

Thanks Ads and I am glad you said class, because all GTI Mk6s (and R's for that matter) are just that, ALL CLASS and I am really really happy with the finish of mine

The wheels really do suit the silver paint work so well and they look better in person than in photos too (and miles better than the Detroits)... I am even happier than I thought I would be with the LED tail lights as I cant believe how good they look on the silver and how they make the car completely different!!

The Lakin plate was the best $110 I have spent!! Question though, as they put it on for me, are they suppose to but more holes in the bumper? Also, one side is more flush than the other....only millimeters but still noticeable to me

You are right mate.....our cars are very similar We should be very proud...

    Cheers

They shouldn't have drilled any other holes. If your bracket is the same as mine, the mounts are designed to fit the four factory drilled holes exactly. There'd only be additional holes in the bumper if, like my car, your dealer had fitted a numberplate to the stock plastic adapter first, and drilled right through the adapter into the bumper beneath. I seriously doubt you'd have that problem.

Ref the plate being flush, take a few close-ups and send them my way. The bracket will have backing washers that you can stack/remove to get the fitment right (and if you're short, Philip from Lakin Plates will send you extras), and the screws themselves can be tightened too.

Now I know to say hello when I see a Reflex Silver GTI with LEDs and Vancouver wheels here at the East side.

Good to see they fit them for you. If I can get confirmation of the S2T paddles being ok, I'll get them to fit pre delivery too.

Wait for Corey hehe or press the edit button on the bottom RHS of your post.
