As for the ventureshield he has already organised the stencil for the R for me so it's all ready to go.

One question though for you please, is the ventureshield really near impossible to see? can you tell looking at the quarter panels and say your drivers door that there is a slight difference in the look and that there is a film on there?
I think it is a case of if you know it is there you can see it. There are some slight lines on the bunnet as it is a couple of pieces joined together but they are not overly noticable. I am stoked with how invisible it is really.... saying that I also don't mind a few lines given that it will protect my car. Have a look in my pictures yourself.... can you see any lines?

Oh, that's a shame that it's a few lines joined together. Some companies don't have the facilities to do entire panels as the width of the film and their equipment isn't large enough to do the entire panels with one piece. However, Surfacetech in Sydney are capable of doing the entire bonnet with a single piece.

The film is definatley not noticable in the pics, i'm a bit suprised though that they used two pieces on the bonnet as i was under the impression it was one large piece as Corey said. i'll have to check that out with Perth Graphics.

My mates were taking pictures while they got the car from the carpark and brought it into the showroom, what are the chances of another 3dr Rising Blue at the same dealership?

    soo...
Here's a pic of my actual car, and yours truly.

and the finishing touches while they brought it into the showroom
(i asked them not to bring it in until i got there)

Must give us a review in the R observations thread
Well done I am sure you are now stoked the wait is over..
    Thanks,
I was a bit annoyed that I didn't take the 19's option, cause i really wanted the black headlights,
but having seen it in the flesh, in the right colour, i really like them, they balance out the badges,

I'll definately do that once it's properly run in,
at the moment i'm not revving past 4000, so my experience is limited.

Thanks Fab, Can't drive it today
got a few plans that require the forester, i think i'll be in withdrawl shortly

It looks really good in the 3 door config.
The section rear of the B pillar just looks so perfect.

Is there a Springwood in Sydney?
I thought you were from Bris as we have one up here also.

My order looks same as yours.
    Enjoy.
Colour was the hardest, they're all nice colours!
i don't regret the blue, it is awesome in the flesh.

I'm in Springwood, NSW (Blue mountains), guess it's a bit like Mt Tambourine?
some nice sections of twisty road, i love living here...

Similar spec, but mine is manual with no roof, i went for a very basic config, to keep the cost down (GTI was out of my budget.. lol)
also weight is a concern cause i have 100kgs of stereo gear waiting to be installed, so wanted to start as light as possible

I just love the big bow....makes you feel special.

Some may laugh at the bow and the special treatment but when I picked my Golf up, my dealership couldn't be bothered even detailing it before I got there...but you've all heard that story

I'm sure you will enjoy yours as much as we enjoy ours
    Cheers,
I remember hearing your story, and another one where someone discovered people crawling through their car.
hence i asked for mine to be kept out of the showroom as long as possible.
We know that it will be dirty and whatnot before we pick it up, it's the dealership's job to hide that from us, so we can pretend that it's virginal, never driven, and has been spotless from the time it started as an empty shell!

mine had a minor ding in the R badge on the bottom of the steering wheel,
I got a phone call before i picked it up explaining this, and that a replacement part is on the way.
I couldn't ask for anything more than that!

Shame your dealership "dropped the ball", but glad to hear that's all behind you now!

Luckily, i ordered mine before our wedding, so there was alot going on to distract me from the wait
The pics posted up here helped, reminding me that the wait is worth it
would have been alot harder without either of those!

Yeah, hence why i feel like a goose,
to be honest, the difference between 18's and 19's isn't so obvious to me, which surprises me as i'm a closet wheel whore.
The headlights seemed darker, but i put that down to the outdoor lighting...

I'll redeem myself by posting some more pics shortly.

If you can be more specific than that, I'll be happy to take some pics later today when I have the bonnet open for something else anyway.
