Hey don't laugh! VW are basically the last of the German brands to offer "Poo Brown Metallic" in their cars! Merc, Audi and BMW all offer that again on their higher end cars! Apparently it's the next black

    Thought I'd join in again.

Since last here properly I've made a few small changes to my car.

Added 18" MTM Bimoto wheels (with PS3 rubber), lowered the car slightly (15-20mm) on H&R Clubkit and added a few small interior mods too.

Nice.. Liking the gear surround.. Don't really like chrome blingy stuff.. Too much to dazzle the eyes and also too hard to keep clean! What are the specs on those wheels?

The wheels are ET50 18x8, the 19s are forged apparently sadly the 18s arent, so these are around the 11-12kg per corner mark

Loving those rims Nath, looks fantastic!

Do you mind if I ask where you sourced them from, and what they set you back (roughly)? I'm seriously keen to get a set for my GTI!

No probs Adam, you're the 4th thats asked

Wheels were a little under $4K landed (without rubber) and where sourced through Tuning World here in NSW the only rep for MTM in Australia I think.

If you're interested send Ross an email on ross@tuningworld.com.au and tell him Nathan with the TR GTI referred you

They have a web site but its not comleted yet so there is almost nothing on it, but they're the sister company to Ramspeed which is a high end performance parts company that deals in mods for high end european cars, for VW they deal with ABT, Tuning World does others which includes MTM

Thanks very much Nath, I may well shoot Ross an email about them. Still, I must admit, they do something I've not seen any other rim do (other than look perfect on a MkVI) - make VW's dealer accessory rim prices look competitive!

haha, well in Germany they're only EU$1500 plus rubber you get slugged with shipping, duty and GST on all that plus the importers profit line so it adds up.

and they are nothing compared to the ADV F7s I was looking at $7K landed without rubber

you have to pay for quality I guess
