There are a lot of bugs between Sydney and Broken Hill:

Plenty of red dust around too:
If you dig a hole and it is in the wrong place, digging it deeper isn't going to help.

Damn Banzai. I hope for you and your car's sake, that you have some 3M Paint Protection Film/Ventureshield Stonegard installed!

Woah - that's even worse than the front of my car

Maybe White just shows it up more than Blue

Car actually looks worse in real life than in the pix. The white blows out a bit in photos. I'd also cleaned the bugs off the lights at fuel stops in Nyngan, Bourke (nice little 350km detour) and Cobar. I also had to do a little fix up to the front number plate cover after wiping out a green parrot just north of Nyngan.

Corey, first thing I did when I picked up the car was take it to Ozi-Cozi for Ventureshield and paint treatment. No apparent damage to paintwork that I can see.

There are a lot of bugs on the front of the intercooler. Not sure how I'll get to those ones without pulling off the front bar.

If we don't see your name show up in the next father of the year awards then there is something wrong!

That is definately the case. After a weekend to Phillip Island the front of the Polo was a mess between bugs and crap from roadworks. Bit of elbow grease and the meguires bug & tar remover had it good as new. I'll definately be doing the film on the R though, is there a list of authorised dealers?

Unlikely. "Full Metal Jacket" is just another one of these special paint sealants. Whilst they're good for helping protect against swirls and stuff, but WILL NOT stop you from getting stone chips and other paint damage from "impacts". The ONLY protect that will give you any chance of stopping paint damage from impacts is 3M Paint Protection Film or Ventureshield Stonegard (essentially the same thing). It's just like putting contact on your school books, except it's practically invisible.

Btw, most people then get a sealant put over the car at the time they get the PPF installed. It even goes on top of the PPF! So Banzi has his car protected
