Thread: Off throttle - the car seems to continue to fuel itself

    I had something similar on my Mk5 GTI where the solution was a throttle sensor. Might be different, though, as it appeared more like a "normal" sticking throttle.

    I've a thread going on the ross-tech forum. Uwe says that from the data I've captured he can see that the throttle valve closes pretty closely after the throttle pedal.

    What made you suggest clutch switch? After months of chasing this the dealer decided to replace the clutch switch and they think its fixed it.

    Perhaps not good enough? I just got the car back after the dealer had had it, chasing this issue, for 6 weeks.

    Issue is still there. Clutch switch didn't work L

    Further more, after sitting for six weeks at 2/3 full the fuel guage is now stuck as I filled it wit fresh fuel and it still reads 2/3

    Haha can only be so good over the internet and without physically testing it. Might be time to burn the thing

    Yea if you were closer I'd let you have a look. My vagcom throws no errors. VW service kit shows no errors so we're in the territory of R&Ring parts and hoping for the best.
