I've a thread going on the ross-tech forum. Uwe says that from the data I've captured he can see that the throttle valve closes pretty closely after the throttle pedal.
I had something similar on my Mk5 GTI where the solution was a throttle sensor. Might be different, though, as it appeared more like a "normal" sticking throttle.

Perhaps not good enough? I just got the car back after the dealer had had it, chasing this issue, for 6 weeks.
Issue is still there. Clutch switch didn't work L
Further more, after sitting for six weeks at 2/3 full the fuel guage is now stuck as I filled it wit fresh fuel and it still reads 2/3

Haha can only be so good over the internet and without physically testing it. Might be time to burn the thing
