I could be wrong but my R35 Xenon came standard with the car. It had auto leveling but not washers. How did the car get sold here?

The requirement for automatic headlamp levelling and headlamp washer devices originated from EU regulations.

The Australian Design Rules (ADR) is in the process of being harmonized with EU regulations, which makes it simpler and less costly for European manufacturers to import and sell their vehicles in Australia (since ADR = EU rules for the most part), but at the same time being burdened with their bureaucratic rules.

My guess is that the regulations in Japan (and Asia/North America) aren't as stringent when it comes to headlamps with discharge bulbs, which is why the GT-R destined for non-EU/Australian markets probably isn't fitted with headlamp washers as standard.

the r35 does indeed come with headlamp washers.
u can clearly c it on this one.



then again, i could b wrong & its just a dummy washer cover.
alot of manufacturers seem to b doing that.

or maybe the oz spec'ed r35 r enviro friendly & don't want to waste water!!

Mine was a JDM spec. I recall a few were imported here too prior to the official release.
