It's not easy to explain. Definitely not related to whether the car is parked on a hill as I hear the same noise even when getting in/out of my car in my building car park.

But it seemed to be similar to sitting down on to an office chair or an old chair... Are we really overweight!?

your not overweight, trust me...I'm borderline having my own postcode and mine doesn't make any sounds when I 'plop' in...must be something else.

if not handbrake (Sounds probable) check if it occurs as passenger exits. Check again with foot on brake.
Several cars I have had gave a bit of a 'creak' on exiting due to brakes..
Could also be upholstery material venting. Check on how quickly getting up or sitting.

I get noises from the handbrake if I don't pull them up hard enough, sometimes pretty loud too. But the dealer said that it was normal.

    Hi Guys,

I figured it out last night. It's the handbrake causing the noise. I tried to pull it harder and this stopped the noise.

Actually I'm quite surprised that I need to use that much strength to pull the handbrake... But anyway problem solved
