    New Style DSG Shifter

Does anyone know if the new style shifter will be available as a spare part for pre MY11 Golfs?

Of course... just call VW Service and Parts and order it...
I'm not sure of the P/N yet though.

Actually, i quite like the older shifter than the new one, but that's my personal preference

If you like engaging manual mode, I find the wider shifter a bit clunkier than the ball shaped one.

If they do sell the "golf ball" one (from the Adidas and Edition 35) as a replacement, I might be game

Yep - they sell that one too...

I agree - the new one is boring... not sure why you'd want to change to it.
The original GTI/R32/R one is better:

The 30th/Pirelli?/Adidas/35th one is probably even cooler:

The Pirelli doesn't come with the dimpled golf ball one.

Is it easy to fix this? How much would the golf ball dimpled one cost?

They're actually all about the same price... and that is about US$300

Shop around though - maybe on eBay and you'll find them there for much cheaper?! Maybe try the German dealer contact that Ozram arranged for the R LED Lights?

    Two things to note:
    1) It's the entire assembly that you get, as per the "ECS Tuning" dimpled golf ball picture I posted above.
    2) Due to this, you have to make sure you get the RHD version (the photo above is the LHD version).

Well hentaiboy, obviously people don't realise what car you drive, since there is no clue in your name/avatar/signature.

Above where everyone is talking about the "older one is better", we're talking about this one:
    .

Whereas, you're just talking about the "cheap one" hehe.
