Crap. 300 bucks I can sorta hide from the significant other The installation however looks like it's over my head

I am probably getting the base 77TSi for the missus so it comes with the ugly one.

It's OK if you just shift from P to R to N to D and back. But I find it's a bit less ergonomic when sliding it in to the M+/- modes like when I used the MkV GTI DSG round knob.

Yeah sorry I forgot that most of you drive GTI/Rs...
Just rang Chatswood Classic and they had no idea what I was on about. Need a VIN number of a car that has one.

And they always forget there are owners of non-sports versions so don't feel bad.

I can't justify the cost even though the new one is much sleeker

This is followed by posts of people not getting them to work after

    I have a basic question:

    This is the disassembled stick

Where does the button on the knob attach to?

(ps the viagra joke is already in the original link in hentaiboy's post )

The button is self contained in the knob (I assume it activates a microswitch). From what I've read the knob is a press fit onto the shaft using a special crimped clamp.

I love the "golf ball" changer in my new Adidas. It fits in the hand much better than the "old" unit I had in my previous GT, and looks cooler than the standard GTI one (IMO)

Good luck with whatever you get.
