New mk6, multiple issues but I have faith,

Hi all.
Bought a mk6, manual, 2010 cavd twin charge 1.4L
166klms

Car has a few dramas. Need some brain power please.

An engine shop told me that these engines need to be refilled as soon as you drain the oil as the timing chain tensioner loses pressure when the oil is drained.
Can any one confirm or deny this?

Also, can someone please tell me the location of the supercharger fuse?
New Super gather clutch filled in Feb, but no power getting to it.

There are more dramas, but I am working on those slowly

Ohhh have fun with that mate. You are a brave man to have bought one of the 1.4 twincharge engines.

1st i've ever heard of any VW engine needing to have its oil drained and refilled within a short space of time. The only "common folk" car with this restriction is the Ford Ranger/Mazda BT50 which has to have its oil drained and refilled within 8 mins I think otherwise the oil pump freaks out.

My 2011 Golf R never had this issue, my 2010 Golf GTI never had this issue and my current car 2015 Audi SQ5 does not have this issue.

Thanks mate I'll check out the fuses.

Does anyone have a workshop manual? I got a hose that has been blocked off but can not find the other side.

You can buy the manuals . Google Erwin and vw. Pay 7 euros and download as much as you like for an hour

Surely you can get the whole thing as a PDF for free somewhere.

Oh dear bought a car which often has $7000 of engine probs and turning nose up at $10 worth of manuals which are very detailed and descriptive
