new intake manifold - flap issue

Added to the growing list of mechanical failures, a new intake manifold was required due to the intake flap not working. The car was running roughly and lost power a couple of times and the engine warning light came on

The fault was identified as P2015 - Intake Manifold Flap Position Sensor (Bank 1): Implausible Signal

This issue seems well known on the golfmk6 forum, but haven't found much on the Oz forums, is it a known issue here.

The car is just over 3 years old and has just covered 48,000km, I certainly don't expect to replace intake manifolds this early.

I have a lot of friends and family with mk6 and none of them have had this happen.
APR have released a delete kit or the flaps.

APR - High Performance Development for Audi, VW and Porsche Vehicles.

But it does require Stage 2+

I think the APR Delete Kit is for FSI only at this stage.....

The VW specialist where I get the car serviced said there was an APR bypass valve for $299, but I also required an APR tune to use the valve.

new intake manifold - flap issue

Wonder if you can write coding to get around having the apr tune to run this. Will have a chat to my tuner and see what he can do in regards to running the flap delete kit.

I Had the same on my Octavia.
P2015 came on after ths skoda service guys degreased my engine.
They then replaced the intake manifold and 2 days later the CEL is on again.
    Going back in tomorrow.
