I'm actually deleting the tint from the package (reducing the finance is the reason) and will get it done later.

Any good suggestions for tinters in Victoria ?

The main ones are Tint A Car and Tint PRofessor - don't know who VW would use to do it.

Now that's funny. Last car I had that didn't come with a heater was a 1968 Valiant.

Hey KWicks, thanks for the heads up, i'm adding it to the list.

I'm also interested in Arma Tint - they're all round Melbourne and have competitive quote too - and the bloke I spoke to at Coburg was really decent (ie we had a normal conversation !!!!)

I would also check all your lights are working. I've only had my golf for 1 month and found my drivers side reverse light was out.

Would that be because there isn't a reverse light on that side? RTM

But what a reverse light it is!

I'd check the alloys for scratches to ensure that you or your partner really was the first one to scratch them, not the apprentice mechanic who fanged it up to the motor registry!

I couldn't agree more... VW have one doing the exactly the same thing others have two to do...

Also, if you have factory / dealer tint, make sure there are no scratches / bubbles in the tint and most importantly, that you have the bottle opener!
