Nailed LHS wing mirror on Golf. Advice regarding replacement.

Hi all. Backed out and LHS mirror got caught on rogue column. Indicators and motor still works, just cosmetic damage, I'm pretty sure. The painted cover is fine as well, just a small scratch or two.
Supposedly, I only need three parts... Indicator, mirror glass and mirror glass trim.

I would like to do it myself and save some money. Can anyone suggest where to buy parts (and what the part numbers would be?) ECS sell a full assembly,I which I don't think is needed.
    Would appreciate any advice.

Try Ebay mate? It's a very easy process to do, PM me if you have any questions on how to replace.

I did the indicator only on mine.. I think it was 50-something dollars but there is a good video on youtube.. I think the only thing you need are torx screwdrivers. The screws are accessed by gently unclipping the mirror with your fingers...

Thanks for all of the help. It was going to cost about 350 for 3 parts (mirror, mirror trim and indicator lens) and install, so I bought a second hand one from a wreckers. When I took the busted one apart, turns out it was worse than expected. Of the three torx screws, one took the screw 'housing' with it, so I need to replace the whole mirror. Matter of removing door trim and that's it, I hope. I am worried about doing this for fear of busting something else.

Also, the original painted cover had some of the internal tabs broke and I need to use a new cover. Problem is, the one I have is not the same colour. Best bet to get a repairer do it? Or is it possible to purchase an pre painted original, from a dealer?

Don't think so. A local body shop might paint it for you for $50-$150 cash

The same body shop would have just used black silicone glue to fix the tabs rather than replacing the part the proper way like you're doing, so kudos.

Probably $30 at a shop to get sprayed. They come primed already so it is just simply spraying it. When I did work at my uncle's shop we were charging $20 for blow-ins like that.

Do they usually put a clear coat as well with the spraying?
