Pulled the N205 valve out last weekend, sprayed it with degreaser and then soaked it in petrol for a few hours. Everything looked clean and in good working order upon inspection. There was no debris etc in the valve that was hindering its movement.
Re-fitted the N205, no issues. Car still rattles on startup so the valve had nothing to do with it.
If any of the mechanics on here wants the special tool, let me know.

I believe its a stretched timing chain and im looking into getting it replaced as the noise is annoying/embarrassing and im looking to sell the car in the next 12 months or so and any potential buyers will be turned off by that noise (rightly so too).

I have the same issue, new tensioner fitted and running fine but will rattle for 1-2 sec if left over night. 55km on the engine
Thought it could also be some kind of non return valve which is allowing oil to drain back to the sump.

It will be the chain, changed mine over christmas and you could see where the chain had been slapping the timing cover.
Noise is gone and back to 7 notches exposed on the new style tensioner where as I had 10 before.
Early chains are prone to streching so should be replaced.

After a long time with this problem, which was aggravated by the increase in noise, it was discovered that the root cause is the Camshaft Bridge, where the screen breaks and the non-return valve itself bursts into several pieces, which ends up going to the phase variator of the command going to the cylinder head and the catastrophe turns fact.
Where it is not normal if there is some noise when starting the engine. If you hear you can check the part right away.
And when installing the new Camshaft Bridge remove the screen immediately, leaving the path clear to the oil for the non-return valve and go for the intake camshaft.
