MY11 Models - Changes + New Unlimited Kilometre Warranty

Hi,

I ordered a 118TSI on the weekend and was told that it would be a MY11 model as the car was going to be built to order (arrives in September most likely - aargh so far away!). I didnt really pay much attention to it at the dealer, but does anyone know of any changes for the MY11 model?

No.

There has been no annoucnement on MY11 changes for Australia.

America had MY changes but they have very different model structures and most off the changes were to options included on the various models.

Since we don't get the model structure they do (our options are mostly individual and not bundled together) there won't be much of a difference, maybe interior lighting or something.

103TDI Comfortline 6 speed manual model has been discontinued

Hill Start Assist (HSA) is now standard for all manual models

TDI badge for 77TDI Trendline now has a red ‘I’

Optional Dynaudio premium audio system is no longer available for Trendline models

Optional RNS510 satellite navigation is no longer available for Trendline models

Optional Rear View Camera (RVC) is no longer offered for Trendline models

Optional adaptive chassis control is no longer available for Trendline models

Front fog lights are no longer offered as a stand alone option

New ordering code (RKZ) for the RCD510 radio (with Dynaudio 9VE) option

Optional Bluetooth phone connectivity is now available

Additional MFD feature – SAFE locking

2nd ESP lamp in instrument cluster

I am about to order a new Golf 118TSI. Is any new order that requires a build from now automatically a MY11 model?

To my knowledge MY11 build starts from July 2010 production.

darn it, missed out on the fog lights! (Now only with sports pack)

is the major benefit of a my11 build the fact that it wont have some of those niggling issues that have occured in some my10 cars? what other advantages are there?
I am still waiting to find out if my car is a MY11 or MY10
