yeah i know that, you have mentioned that before... but if no MkV were built after 2008... there shouldn't be any 09 VW Golf MY09 around, but there are so many people on carsales and other forums with 09 MY09 mkv cars.
They are either not very smart or they are being deliberately misleading.

see there are conflicting messages... because i bought mine second hand, i don't know if it is a 09 built or 08 built... but maverick said none are built in 09 at all... i always thought mine was 09 built, because the 1st owner didn't buy it till july in 09...

    anyways how do i check?

As far as I know for the Pirelli's all of them were built in August 2008. Therefore everyone was MY09 however, some were 2008 version (compliance in 200 while others were 2009 (compliance in 2009).

Impossible as there was no factory to build them in after August 2008 when the last Mark V rolled off the production line.

Picked up my car today - Checked the boot and it was made on 4/10! Fresh from the factory! Very happy with that.. not that it makes a lot of diff.. but juz the fact that it is really brand new!

Im absolutely lovin' it at the moment, my first golf - Smooth, Speed, Sleek.....Sexy!

Nice work... how did they get it out here so quick if it was only made in Apr 2010?

If i sell a car i'd write MY10 not 2009 anyway so doesn't make that much diff... however my last one was 2008 build and complianced.

Yea G-rig, I do not think there is much diff when you sell the car - Buyers will look out for mileage and how well you kept your car..

I do not know how long it will take to ship cars from the factory... 2 weeks? There is a metal plate at the boot that says Apr -2010... Unless I am reading it incorrectly...
