Is my car missing something or am I imagining things??

Just picked my car up from service, there was a rattle in the roof console that they fixed. But I have a question about the ambient lighting (the red lights on the console).

Should I have little plastic covers over where the light comes out?? I thought there were but they're not on there. If I had something narrow enough I could stick it up the whole that is there. I've attached some pics to show what I mean, I'm doing this from my phone so sorry if the pics are huge....





See what I mean? I haven't looked up there a lot so not sure whether I'm imagining things, can anyone confirm before I go back to the dealer?

It just looked like something was missing, like there are 2 holes there now, when I thought there was clear plastic covers that were flush with the console.... Guess I imagined it lol
