    My car brakes failed

Driving today on the M5east my car came up with a brake failure light with a beeping sound. A red light with a ! and ( ) .
(©) but with a ! , I think its the hand brake light but it was flashing. and my hand brake wasnt on

Got towed and will be towed to barloworld VW at five dock.

My question to u guys in this forum is what should I expect VW to do? Are they gonna charge me any cost? It's under warrenty (less than a year old)

BTW. ABS light came up too

    Do I have a **** box golf?

Well, fix the problem - if it is under warranty then there is no cost to you (that is, after all, what a warranty is for)...

I doubt you've bought a lemon if that is all that has gone wrong and it get fixed OK..

    Regards,

Yes you have a POS golf that you should sell ASAP and Volkswagen are going to charge you heaps for the repair and cancel the warranty.

Is that what you wanted to hear? Actually what do you want to hear?

    The car is under warranty.
    The car broke down.
They picked the car up and took it the nearest dealer which is closed until Monday.

Most likely you will receive a phone call from them on Monday and another phone call after that to pick up the car.

Yes you will have to organise your own transport back to pick up the car.

And how did you determine that your brakes failed? Did you have to drop down gears and pull the handbrake on and come to a screeching halt? Did you jump from the moving car? The thread title is pretty misleading if all that occurred was you had a warning light on the dash and still had your brakes working. Perhaps "I had a brake warning light appear on my 118TSI, pulled over, it was towed to the dealer and now I'm waiting for a warranty repair" would be more accurate and useful for those doing searches?

That's right, I keep forgetting about the public holiday! Hope my wife doesn't go out before I get up on Monday morning or I'll probably drive into work and wonder why there's no traffic!
