Yeah - it surprised me too.
The only "hope" is that there was something wrong with the GTI and R's brakes (maybe these cars had already been used before... maybe since they were part of the top 3 the guys had driven them so much that the pads were seriously worn out).
Whilst that's only a "hope", the fact that the Golf GTD actually came in 5th on the brake test, only 20cm behind the WRX and 2 metres ahead of the GTI and R, does seem to indicate something strange was going on...
I think everyone has noticed dude. It's just that the MKVI has improved so much in so many ways that it still took the #1 spot
