Model Year will have an affect if two cars made in the same year have different Model Year designations signifying an upgrade.
Then again it could work the other way if the MY change introductions equipment deletions or downgrades.
This was the point I made with mine as I pointed out the MY10 finished in August??? and the MY11 started in Sept with mine being a fairly early one by the chassis number.
After a bit of research they altered their stance about it as I said earlier in the thread
