I had VWRs as well, and was running a less aggressive 18x8 ET48 wheel and got rub on the screw on hard left corners taken at speed. So definitely not surprised there's a little more on yours, but should be easy enough to rectify as you have suggested.

Yeah it's unfortunate how restricted we are with wheel choice on the Golf.

    Work meister s1 3p 19x9 +35 235/35r19 tyres.

Vwr coils, ground control front camber plates, -2.5 degrees camber front, -3.3 degrees rear. Screw mod, liner removed, rolled and rears require a pull as they are hitting the lip of the wheel on passenger side.

A lot of work but looks great!

Would love to see more pics, 3/4 view or showing the wheel with the guard.

    Wheel Upgrade

I'm currently in the process of modifying my mk6 tsi and just feel curious on what anyone's opinion is towards aftermarket wheels. I haven't strayed far into the web, only gone as far as looking at some 18 inch golf r rims. I appreciate any feed back, thanks.

Love them if they're a quality set.

But you can achieve some great looks using alternative OEM wheels as well.

Ultimately just depends on what you want to achieve.

General rule is to do suspension before doing wheels, so look into coilovers/springs and struts while you look for rims

Thanks for the reply, I wasn't entirely sure about getting spring but from what I've researched its something I'll look into. Thanks again.

I mostly just wanted something that's different from what I currently have on, 17inch stock. Since its possible to get some second hand r rims, that are black it seems like the easiest route. But I am definitely up for something else with size being of no concern 17 or 18's.
