I wouldnt be too fussed on fitting price, your biggest challenge is getting a decent wheel alignment. Most tyre places arent too happy fitting tyres and doing wheel alignments on tyres not bought from them.............its understandable !!!!!
A poor wheel alignment means premature tyre wear, negating any saving you made buying over the net.

You'd have to be a pretty stupid aligner to knock back work.

Anyone in Sydney, try Spinning Wheel Tyres or Heasemans but there are dozens more good operators out there

I agree on getting a good wheel align. But disagree on tyre shops knocking back jobs because u didn't buy the there. Plenty of people turn up to get alignments done. If u think about it, if I bought a new car I would have to get an alignment done sooner or later. By your logic, tyre shops would knock me back cos I didn't buy my tyres there. How could I? The car is new.

I have kerbed all my alloys on my mk6 Golf.. But i am doing something about it.

I am running a live project right now to fix it. It is posted in the repairs section.

Thought it might be handy for mk6 owners out there wanting to do a fix on your own.

How to Fix VW Alloy Wheels (Golf Mk6)

Btw i am not a handyman by trade, but i the results i got are reasonable on my first wheel

Golf R tyre recommendations and advice

Hi boys and girls I have recently bought a new set of wheels for my golf r, just wondering if I can use the same tyres that are on my 19 black tallegeda 235/35/19 on these. If not any advice on what tyres to get. I don't do track. I just want a set of good tyres with good traction. I have been told I can stretch my current tyres on to the new wheels. Is it safe to do so?

    Thanx
