I noticed when I got mine from Germany, the "Foam" seals were not quite properly aligned at the back, so I just realigned them prior to fitting (they are just attached with double sided tape!). I was worried about water ingestion... perhaps this is the problem!Originally Posted by Mariani

I have been looking/checking online for "LED tail lights" and found few links:

The price is quite cheap - only "260 to 300 USD" i.e. around "245 to 275 AUD". Has anyone ordered them form China? Not sure about the quality!

Read a bit more of the thread, particularly early on.
There are multiple types of OEM LED lights, with and without rear fog lamp, LHD and RHD, "cherry" and "dark" tint.
You obviously need a set with fog lamp and RHD. Cherry or Dark is really just the look you're going for...

May be alright if, as Corey says they are Australian spec ie reverse light on left & rear fog on right. If not then you will be running them illegally in Australia.
Oh, and you might want to consider offering a group buy if you think about going for these - minimum order quantity is 20 complete sets, or roughly $4900 - $5500. Don't know what freight would be for that and I can't see any mention of adapter cables.
Also, you would incur customs fees and GST on items over $1000.

Watch out though guys - they are most likely cheap chinese copies, not OEM spec.

VW has factories in China producing the Golf and they have LHD LED tail lights. $300 sounds about right from what I've seen.

Yes... though keep in mind what is produced in China is for the China market only. It's not necessarily up to the same standards as "rest of world". If it were, then they'd put more factories in China and ship cars from there
