Thats if they don't have rear fogs (which the US doesn't have) and 2 x reverse lights. What they are doing is buying LED lights with the fog and then rewiring a new light switch to suit.
Thats fair enough, In those links I posted the people posted what the part numbers were for tinted and non tinted Brake lights with Fog lights on the left or right aswell.
So I just matched them up. So I am 99% sure they are correct. Unless I am missing something?
I also read through those links you have, and I was under the impression it was a simple task of:
- Remove old brake lights
- Insert new LED brake lights along with the adaptor
- Connect car to computer and re-program the car to remove the 'Bulb Out' warning?
Why are the people in those links above taking out their light switches and changing around other wiring in the car?

Ozram,
Does you contact also supply the adaptor cables in the price that was being offered?
Regards.
Stick with your ugly bulbs < Golf R ppl. Having base model golfs with LEDs will look like Peter Costello with a boob job... Its not the way nature intended! Deal with it!

Well from what I have read that is not the case:
Rear LED lights for the Golf VI are now optionally available for €350 but come standard on the Golf GTD, Golf GTI and Golf R.

The article is not correct. It should be that they're standard on the R, optional on GTI/GTD and not on the stardard models. They've never been an option on standard models in the UK. If you go to the UK site now and download the GTI brochure, the regular taillights are still featured in the brochure.
A guy on MK6 lives in the UAE - his MK6 GTI comes with them standard..

Bit similar to doing JDM mods on jap cars (and other subtle differences with overseas models and standard/optional equipment).
Either way if they are an option then they aren't exclusive to the R.. (even though they give the R some sort of character).
