My awesome LED tails arrived 3 weeks ago and were fitted next day.

Just LOVE these LED's, even if I have said it before....oh did I mention how I keep admiring the LED's? Ha ha
Have been AWOL for a while here, but just wanted to report back they have now been recoded, along with activating
static cornering (not activated with indicators though as my preference)and last but not least staging needles.....

Now that the Golf GTI Addidas comes standard with the LED tailights, the dealers should have the LEDs in stock and can retro fit it to GTIs I assume?

Yes the GTI Adidas do come standard with LEDs but take into account the following (as suggested/mentioned by other members):
- The GTI Adidas LEDs are the Euro Cherry Red upgrades, most probably not the tinted R Red LEDs.
- Your VW dealerships may not be 'encouraged' by VWA to carry out these conversions and therefor not obliged to do so (we think). So far I've only come across a TSI owner who successfully had his LEDs recoded by a VW dealership (installed by others).
- If yes to the above, then at what cost would they be charging for this conversion? Some members indicated a ball park figure of between $1100-1200+?
Only time will tell I guess, unless someone has had some recent experience.

As mentioned above, these LEDs are the Euro factory-option tails, not the Golf R tails. And dealers have stocks of the Golf R in Australia but that doesn't make them any more willing to supply and fit the LEDs thus far.

Dealers will be unlikely to do this mod until VWA approves of it and provides them with instructions on how to make the necessary code changes. I've not seen anything thus far that indicates they're even considering it.

Hey guys,

I didnt really want to have to go through 31 pages to find out where everyone is getting their LED lights from.

I saw that some people are getting these code boxes for $50 with $20 shipping to code the car without having to plug a computer up to the car with that software that everyone is talking about.

Is there any chance that someone can please let me know where people have been getting them from? And maybe even update the 1st post with all the appropriate information for others to use?

I ended up reading though all the posts and OZRAM seems to have some awesome contact that everyone is happy with (Ozram a PM has been sent your way from me).

I have a 2010 GTI and reading through the last post from AdamD regarding the recoding of 2010 Golfs and the following was said:

Build date: 2010+
Central Electrics Revision*: Beyond 0575
- Coding to be determined.


So does anyone have an update for the coding process for 2010 made golfs?

Also SOLISTICS has apparently used the TM Tuning code box and it has apparently worked fine. SOLISTICS are you able to confirm that you didnt have any issues with your Day Time Running Lights and alike?

Are you also able to confirm what year (month) your Golf was made? and also if you have Xenon's or Halogen lights?
