Mk6 GTI - Rear not sitting level with front

I swear when looking at my Mk6 GTI it looks like the front sits lower than the rear. Is this normal?

I was thinking of slightly lopping off part of the stock rear springs to make it sit more evenly, but would prefer not to do this.

If I did want to lower the car slightly at the rear (I would say around 1 cm drop) to level it with the front, what options do I have rather than buying aftermarket springs? Im happy with the ride height with the exception of the way the rear looks when compared to the front.

    Cheers

Either that or throw a few bags of cement in the boot.

But yes, when i had my Mk6 GTI the rear seemed a little higher than the front. It seemed to look better or worse depending on where the car was parked at the time. Below are a few photos - 1st is stock suspension with aftermarket wheels. 2nd is after a set of 30mm lowering springs were fitted.

More photos of the springs etc here if interested: My other German fling: Mk6 GTI
