yeah - I too thought that it had the sound generator, but these websites often just rehash information from overseas markets, and according to Guy_H and others who have worked on MK6's and replaced stock exhausts etc, the Australian delivered MK6's don't have them.

Lol... your dedication to the MKV cause is great. But ultimately flawed. The only reason everyone with a MK6 is worried about this sound is that their cabin isn't rattling so they're noticing other rattles And yes, I know you've said that your MKV isn't rattling, well, you're lucky. Mine and friends MKV's do
Also, as Guy has confirmed, the parts in question are common between the MKV and MK6, so you possibly have the same issue that is described in this thread, you just can't hear it
