Question Mk6 Golf Steering Wheel badges

    Hi all,

I’ve fitted a Mk6 Golf multi-function wheel to my R36 as I prefer the feel and look of them to the original wheel. The wheel I fitted came from a GTI so has the GTI badge in the bottom spoke.

I am looking for the badge from an ‘R’ wheel to replace it.

If you have one available, or maybe you put an ‘R’ wheel on your GTI and would like to swap badges, let me know.
These badges just pop out in case you weren’t aware.

They can still be found new online but $150 for the bottom trim with the badge is bit over the top.

Anyway, let me know if you can help.

    Cheers,

    Mike.

Unless you are lucky to find a 2nd hand one, it seems about $150-200 is the going rate for a genuine R insert for the steering wheel. If that price is too much to swallow, then you might consider one of the APR versions for $40.....at least in the meantime?

APR Steering Wheel Insert Silver MS100088 | Pro Speed Racing

For reference, the part number for the genuine VW item is 5K0419685NPOP

    Thanks Lucas,

I’ve bitten the bullet and ordered one from the USA off eBay.

It’s only a small detail but my OCD didn’t like the gap in the wheel spoke…..

    Cheers,

    Mike.
