Speaking to Macca at the dyno day the other week he said he got 6.6 in his S3 on a run from Wakefield back to his place. He did say he probably wouldn't want to do it again as it was only at 90km/h. I've had mine as low as 6.9 on a run along the m7 then m5 down to Campbelltown but after that it starts rising because you're heading uphill.

I don't think Fab had fuel consumption in mind when he started this thread though. Hoping to have some real performance data to add in a couple of weeks.
Golf R 5 door, DSG, EVOMS CAI, TXS DP, Recode Tune.

Nah, I'm sure he did... Fab loves fuel consumption!

LOL you really do take the fun out of everything hehe. Regardless, if you're worried about not getting 8L instead of 12 etc then bought the wrong car IMO.

It did the entire journey (1173 kms) on one tank of fuel (they reckon it was running on fumes into Goulburn). Assuming that the cars capacity is 55 litres, that made the run 4.7 litres per 100.

Not bad for 385hp - And it accelerates pretty good too!
    Well duh...

is all down hill...... how many tanks going home?

    /funny.

I have no idea how much going home - same driver - had to do an emergency fill heading into Sydney because didn't fill up at Goulburn before leaving & a big detour off the freeway. I know the T5 with trailer & cargo did 11.9 l / 100k - not bad for the Diesel fully loaded up..

You tend to get really good fuel consumption in Angel Gear....

By the way... great results in Motor Guy... the Polo will be a real weapon when finished...
