I hate flywheel figures they're just so easily bent to make things look enormous.
Zbeasts car is 168 atw with it's stage one tune . Your right with the mph but I reckon/would like to think he might just touch a 12 with 103 mph
13.3'ish is about spot on for ~220kw @ fly and a dual clutch transmission with launch control. The Evo 10's with their SST boxes all do those low 13 (13.1-13.2) times from the factory.
Those mph figures agree with that as well.
You really need more like 105-110mph to start seeing solid/consistent high 12's.

If I could get the initial (possibly not good for longevity of the motor) tune loaded back on I reckon I might get into the 12's . I've been playing around trying to figure out how to get the 1.8 60' time and think I have it sorted. Did some launches in the wet on the weekend and managed to spin all 4 wheels briefly on one take off

Actually that tune would have been quite safe, there was only some slight fuel pressure drop starting to occur just as the car was really ramping up boost in the low/midrange area where the fuel pump can't deliver enough. The target AFR's matched the specified values all the way through on all runs . The quick fix would be to either drop boost in that region or run a leaner mixture there and indeed this is what some vendors will do without issue but I'd rather just get the hardware right so that its never going to be a problem no matter what you do.
We can't make the stage one tunes too good otherwise it might no longer comply with international recognised staged tune guidelines and we can't have that can we.
I predict a 12 though....soon
So does zbeasty have a downpipe or not? Cause you guys keep saying stage one, yet his sig still says he's got a downpipe, and thus he's stage two...
Downpipe sadly made jack power difference at that level to be honest, quite dissappointing, as expected boost control was shyte but once corrected it was OK. Note that I say power was not improved not spool or temps and so on I could chek my logs on that though. Another car totally stock but a 6MT is making 10Kws more than this with but a more aggressive tune. does that qualify as a stage 1 ?? Call it whatever you like I say
The dump in question on zbeasts will come off the car in the near future so it will be a stage 1 once again for a brief period

The off-the-shelf downpipes from name-brand manufacturers don't necessarily make large amounts of extra peak power on the golfs... it's about improving the spool, widening the power band etc. DP + a tune which accounts for the DP (Stage II) may only give an extra 5kw peak over software only (Stage I) etc
In any case... I don't want to get into arguments etc. Just saying if there are hardware changes too, regardless of whether you feel they're making any difference to peak numbers, they should be disclosed.
I know what you mean, thats cool and I agree but we could quite easily put the stock dump back on there and do the same. Apart from a boost control map alteration to counter the effects of the dumpipe on the wastegate, Zbeasts car runs our lowest spec R configuration tunewise . In its current guise could it be called a stage 2 minus perhaps ? I'm happy with that too
Yes a DP, which I have in my sig, but a much milder tune than others that are out there. Going on stages I'll be a 2+ by the time we're finished because I'll have to fit a HPFP to realise the full potential.
I'm hanging to find out how Wooduck did tonight and if ferret went out to see how his full tune goes. I can see a shootout at WSID coming on.
I refitted my EVOMS after removing it for testing the other week and I think I here compressor surge some times. The car sounds good with it on but don't want to damage anything for the sake of sounding good. I'm fairly sure its not the DV making the sound so will have to investigate further.
