I am only interested in hearing about 0-100 times tested with the vbox, that is the industry standard and that is what Motor magazine use. No point using inaccurate devices because everyone will just dismiss your results.
DeanCorp, whilst we'd all LOVE to have a Racelogic Vbox, you'll need to lower your standards a bit mate. The cheapest one is $600, and they go up from there.

Additionally, Racelogic published a report here to show the Racelogic VBox vs the Racelogic Performance Box (THEIR OWN cheaper alternative using GPS) vs the old GTech (not GPS). As you can see from the report, their own GPS device was within 0.01 for most tests. The GTech was up to a few 10ths slower than it should be (i.e. reporting WORSE times than the car actually got as tested with the VBox). Racelogic also determined that with a 1ft rollout, the GTech was actually within a few hundreths of being accurate. So much so that Racelogic even recommended the GTech and suggested that the use of accelerometers was something to pursue.

The new GTech devices are GPS in combination with accelerometers, and thus should be as accurate if not more accurate than the Racelogic Performance Box.

So if the makers of the VBox (Racelogic) can commission a study and recommend the GTech, than surely you can accept people using those results - especially for comparative analysis.

Corey are you suggesting that my car could have run a quicker than the 5.57 due to the device being off?

Now factor in the addition of lower temps, less weight with one person and a perfect road and allowing for a slower read out.. I'm calling my car as 4.8 stock.

    No REXman I'm not.
I've got the current GTech GPS timer. As Racelogic have shown with their own GPS timer, they're accurate within hundreths. Fab_R's can be a few tenths off depending on how it is tested.

As I've mentioned before REXman, I'm not interested in theoreticals. You did what you did, I did what I did. You can't claim that you were able to achieve what you did but I was not able to achieve what I did, as it was using the same equipment... So make up your mind - did you do a 5.57 or was that not valid because there was no possible way I achieved a 4.82?

    Save the date

Ok here are the dates for WSID for the next couple of months. Lets see what date suits best and sort this out. I'll bring my standard 5 door DSG R. Would be good to compare the drag timing with the Gtech.

Yes they have..... intercooler, fuel pump, and divorced downpipe & cat. I would like to leave the cat-back stock, and I'll get the intake a little later...

hope this isn't off topic... how long will they need your R to carry out? with the downpipe, exhaust half remains stock?

The intercooler basically means they need to take the front of your car off (Bumper, lights, grills, radiators etc - see Halojump's Stage 2+ thread for photos). So I'll need to drop it off first thing in the morning, and pick it back up that evening.

Yeah, the downpipe replaces the pipe from the turbo, and the pipe with the catalytic converter in it. The middle pipe (with the resonator) and the rear pipe with the rear muffler remain stock.
