It's amazing how even an only minor stumble at take off in a car can smash your times at the track.

I think launching properly will give you at least 0.4-0.5 from my short experience dragging.

I could not believe the results but they are why they are.

1st run with launch control at 3000rpm:
4.68
2nd run with launch control and 2500rpm:
4.88

1/4 tank of fuel and no passengers.

What a car. Very happy!!!

Holy frak! That is much better than I thought you'd get through simply a Stage I ECU map! I guess there's a few people here who now need to eat their words

So for our info - were you shifting manually, or using S?
I'd be interesting to know if that makes a difference.

Awesome! I should have got a DSG thanks for that, they are awesome runs - but now you are going to make is awful hard for us to get our low 4 second runs with our Stage 3 manual

It is such a hard launch on the manual (about 5000 rpm) to get a low 4 second mark that you don't want to do it too often!

Yes just launch control in S mode.
3000rpm, then mashed the acc pedal.

This thing is quick, first time I have really got on it!

With stage III perhaps your looking at sub 4's.
Its not out tof the question going by what times i ran this morning.

yep - best we ever did with our stage 3 S3 was 4.2 seconds, but man, its hard on the clutch

I find it tricky enough to get good soild standing starts from my standard S3 as it is, much less a car with 400hp+ haha.

You are my hero. Im very excited to drive around in a sub 5 sec car with just a flash. And its DSG, which is what I settled on. I hope our equip can hold up, but should be fine on a car worth this much.

I gotta say those times are amazing.. that will CHOP my old MY09 WRX with a tune.. for sure (and I wasnt expecting it too - which makes buying a VW even better for me!!)

Whats a flashed STI do? Cause the car is nowhere near as solid or as nice inside as a VW.. and I cant see it being too much faster (flashed STI that is)
