$1.43 that's a great price. Over my 8 fillups I've averaged $1.53 for BP Ultimate.

Yeh been lucky so far, mind you I could be wrong at $1.43. I definately know that so far I haven't filled up above $1.50. I fill up at the same station in the eastern suburbs before work early in the week. Maybe down here we are in a low price cycle or something. Yesterday most stations for 91 unleaded was about $1.30 that I happened to notice.

maybe i filled up on an expensive day! i dont really take much notice..because for the sake of saving $5, I dont spend half my day looking for a cheaper servo! if you get the standard 91 here it is about $1.39, plus you can get the 4 cents off.. thats at woolies.. so im guessing $1.55-$1.60 is the going price for the good stuff around here

My R is very thirsty. Mostly city driving and "distance to empty" says 340km when I fill it. My GTI used to always be 560km.

It is only a little better economy than my brothers V8 M3!! Not so happy.

I'm rarely in heavy inner city traffic thankfully. More suburban, freeway and country roads. Does your brother drive in the same conditions?

I'm the same as you, I just decide I'm filling up regardless of price at the same station every time (unless I'm not local of course) and yeh for the sake of 5 or so dollars it isn't worth shopping around.
