Oh yeah, trip meter says 647kms travelled and I'm still yet to hit the 'fuel light' as per the gauge!

You've done well there mate. About 500-550km is all i can get from my R and thats relatively easy driving with freeway cruising. Around town its 350-400 if youre lucky.

    Thx Lucas.....

This was the best I could do....705.6km with 25km in reserve.

    Refill was 55.59l = 7.87L/100km.

    Running BP Ultimate.

Yeh i only use BP Ultimate in mine too. I can only dream of getting 700km from a tank...........

Most of my driving is short-ish trips around town and my average consumption hovers around the 11.0L/100km mark. It gets better if i do a run down to Sydney where it sits on about 8.0 - 8.5L/100km on the freeway.

Any update on this? I'd be interested to see how a non-GTi/R fares on consumption - no one else seems to be posting (apart from hentaiboy with his DSG issue - I wonder if the 118 update to stop the piston melting increases consumption too).

I find that once the MFD shows range under 100km, the remaining range drops off far quicker than actual mileage which is a bit unnerving if you are in the country and pushing the range.

Funny you mention the MFD range info. When i filled up the other day ($74 bucks worth) it said 450km to empty. Then i drove to Sydney and when i got there it said 420km to empty. WTF?? Last time i checked, Sydney was further than 30km away from Newcastle.

Yeah, it's quite good if you fill up leave the MFD on range when jumping on the highway and watch your car "make" fuel as the MFD adjusts to the lower average consumption.

Running low on fuel and not wanting to stop, I averaged 5.3 L per 100 km from Nerang to Brisbane... Still with a few accelerative moments.

Still breaking in my new MY12 Bluemotion, getting 5.1L per 100km, using aircon and sound system...

Drove from Brisbane to Nambour and back yesterday and averaged 3.8L per 100km, the claimed consumption, which was nice for a brand spanker still being worn in.
