Would 40k drive away seem a good deal for this? Or could I do better?

I'm sick of dealers not wanting to give me a friggin price!!!! Unless you sit down with them and bring a whole suitcase full of cash they simply don't seem to be prepared to even mention numbers... I'm sick of this car and i haven't even bought the damn thing yet

I feel for you Rufus. I am in the same boat. I just can't seem to get anywhere near the discount you guys are getting, especially when I mention that I have an ABN number.

The Victorian dealers assume that K Rudd's 50% tax depreciation for small business is discount enought. I'm a small business, and must admit that the tax depreciation has a big influence on my decision to buy a new car, but my profit is not that BIG.

$1K- 1.5K discount off the loaded car seems the best I can do without a trade-in.


Any suggests on how to get a better price? Should I delay my purchase untill after 30 June? Do I even need to mention I have an ABN until negotiations are done?

PS. Was any of your Drive Away price acheived by trading in your car. If so, can you repost with out the trade in value factored in.

Itold the dealer the figure i would be happy with and i got it.

I got a similar spec to yours minus the ACC and tint but with the sat nav and paid $41400. So your deal seems ok to me. When are you expecting delivery?
