    MK6 Comfortline Wagon - Opinions ?

    Hi All,

Seriously considering a comfortline wagon - most likely a 103 TDI with the DSG as we allready have that driveline combo (pd type) in our Golf hatch and are familiar with it.

Would be interested to hear from anyone who has one or knows a bit about them - good or bad. How are they for highway travel ?
Our current MKV eats up the klms but has a bit of road noise !
Towing ability as opposed to the advertised spec ?
The wagon appears to have bigger front brakes ?

Has anyone seen one in the Toffee Brown ? I like the pictures but am not sure how it will look in the flesh.

If you have one, were you able to get much of a discount ?

Anything else I should be aware of ?

btw have looked at the Tig and like it, but its just too small in the cargo area.

    Cheers

It also appears that the Golf wagon is known as a Jetta Sporstwagen in the US - why did they call it a Golf here ?

hello, we considered one a while back but you start ticking some options and it becomes expensive. The Octavia vRS in diesel actually is better value.
I saw a toffee brown at the dealer yesterday. I picked up my new car which is also toffee brown and I love the colour
the Golf also has a false floor in the boot which I think is a little pointless!

I too looked at the Golf wagon (in my case the 118 Comfortline) but the value just wasn't there in my books, at least not compared to the Octavia I went with, same engines and transmissions as Golf, but a slightly bigger package and to my butt it felt better to drive, suspension just seemed a little better sorted, but maybe that's just me. Tig I also checked out but that boot was no good for my family of four, too small.

It seems that there are few bluetooth options - namely the one that can be ordered with the car - dealer fit fishco brand I think, which displays on the MFD - was told this type is best ?.
Anyone using these options care to comment on them both good and bad. Which type did you choose and why ?
