Added a little something to her this afternoon... should be good for a few kW!

Congratulation for your new car and I am sure you are still smiling with this new acquisition.
Just wondering whether there is any leak while it is raining? Is the heating element adequate if you were to open the top in Winter, front and back seats?

    Thanks mate

It's been an absolute trial by fire ... er... um ... water for the roof in Sydney these last couple of weeks and I can say it's passed with flying colours! Will hopefully stay that way too as it looks like the designers have lined this up pretty well

As for the heated seats, it's front and only and I can't say as I have turned them on for more than a few minutes to see if they work. Same goes for the heater since it's not been anything approaching cold yet, even with this rain I still end up with the AC on

The Cab gets a very good (if brief) write-up in this month's Motor mag. Those guys aren't exactly known for the quality of their writing (don't even get me started on their utter confusion over the differences between EA113 and EA888...), but did say this was far and away the best cab in that pricerange, and one perfectly suitable for guys.

I probably wouldn't get a red one though (even if it's fine on the GTI)

I'm not sure if you heard about the muppet who left his roof down while raining (Rolls Royce), but it got me wondering if the Golf's Rain Sensing Windows VCDS trick would work with the cabriolet.
