Aren't spacers illegal?

Yep. They are illegal on Australian roads to the best of my knowledge.

In QLD spacers are illegal unless they are fitted by manufacturer. As always there really isn't any good reason aside from people use dodgey ones and slip ons rather than bolt ons with bolts that are too short etc etc.

You see... now it just looks boring

The original 3 door photo you had above, of the Comfortline/Trendline model looked better than that 5 door GTI even!
