I read on some other posts that i'm not the only one having this problem.
Just wondiering if someone can point me in the direction of a decent replacement that isn't overpriced....don't want cheap Chinese crap!
Cheers
I bought some ebay chinese ones many moons ago. $15 for a set of 4. They looked perfect and never came out. I've still got a few spare.

Well if ya don't want cheap chinese crap, expect it to be overpriced then!!!
Either it has fallen off or someone has helped them self to one of the wheel centre caps on my 18 inch Detroits. Where other than VW can I get a replacement and do they just push on?

Yes they do push on. I've replaced a few on my detroits, the lugs go brittle and then they fall off. $30 for 4 off eBay or $15 for 1 off the main steeler.

I've had about 4 come off over the last 5.5 years I've had the Jetta, however I have Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2's (with original VW centre caps) so the fit might be a slight bit different. Ive seen a couple pop out when washing the car with a pressure washer and upon inspection, have seen the plastic clips cracked and degraded. Appears to happen with wheel movement and heat (sun, brakes?). I think it is unavoidable and only solution would probably get a bit of silastic and clip them in, that way when the clips crack and degrade, the cap will stay in place. My caps fit in extremely tight and if someone was going to attempt to remove them with the wheel still on the car, they'd just end up damaging the wheel and the cap and get nowhere. I always carry at least 1 x spare cap in my glovebox just in case.
I bought a set of four but all were loose. I bent the lugs on one and have put that on but it's not tight like the original three. What's silastic?
